The Beauty of Nature

Today while I was home for lunch I got to see a herd of elk right outside my window.  They were standing there browsing at the trees that they could reach while the snow fell gently around them.  It was absolutely gorgeous and I feel blessed that I live in a place to see such amazing sights.  While I love to go hunting, I very much appreciate the majesty of life.

  1. Majestic is just the word that comes to mind when watching elks. Maybe it's their regal antlers or the way they walk. How neat that they were just outside your window!

  2. And I thought watching thousands of geese flying in our hometown was a beautiful sight. I can't imagine seeing elk outside my window.

  3. No elk here, just deer. Deer are awe inspiring also, but not really majestic. I'd love to have an elk pass through!

  4. Elk are always beautiful. I love to listen to them bugle! (hopefully I spelled that right)

  5. There is a group of deer that roam in our yard and have lived around our house for years. This immediately made me think of them and all the other wild animals that roam our yard. Thank you for sharing and maybe one day I will also see elk in our yard along with all the other wildlife.

  6. Elk are a beautiful sight to see, except for alongside the road. Last week on my way to practicum a car hit a nice size bull as it was crossing the road. The car was in bad shape and so was the elk!
